Godfather – Blackhand Edition

Jul 31st, 2009 by admin

Godfather: Blackhand edition is based on the movie and is a great game. It is similar to the first Godfather game except with a couple of additional missions. If you’re looking for a good game similar to GTA on the Wii, this is as close as you’re going to get.

The game begins where you’re character(a young boy of about 12) watches his father getting gunned down by a rival family. Then a member of the Corleogne family takes you in and the game fast forwards about 10 years. This is where you begin playing as your character. You quickly learn the fundamentals of the game like combat, extorting businesses, and bribing police just to name a few. You then begin to take on missions based on the story of the movie.

Combat is great in this game. Since it is designed for the Wii, you can expect that the Wii controls were cleverly integrated into the game. For example you punch somebody by swinging the Wii remote just as if you were clubbing somebody. When a person is close to death, you can perform an execution move which will instantly kill them with a combination of the A key on the Wii remote and a flick of the remote. Shooting is very nice in this game. You first have to lock on to the person and then you can aim by pointing the Wii remote at different areas of the body. You shoot the person in the head, they’re dead. Shoot them in the leg, they fall to the ground. Shoot them in the hands, they are disarmed. The game also features a system of getting weapon upgrades. You can purchase weapon upgrades from black market thugs, but it costs quite a bit. But, it is worth it because the guns become much more enhanced and deal a lot more damage.

If you love to explore, the Godfather is for you as it features a HUGE map covering four cities: Little Italy, Brooklyn, Hell’s Kitchen, and New Jersey. It does get frustrating though because you have to continuously look at the map to figure out where to go.

Extorting businesses is a great feature exclusive to this game. You will have to extort businesses for a couple of story missions as well. Extorting businesses is pretty much the concept of “convincing” another person to give you money in exchange for protection. You can do a couple of things to convince an owner to pay you. You can beat them up, trash their store, point a gun at them, or do a little task for them. Extorting businesses is a great way to earn income though the problem is you have to pay most of the money you get to the family.

Throughout the story, you will achieve different ranks. You start off as a lowly associate where your main task is to extort businesses, and do a couple of story missions. As you progress, you will get job promotions until you are finally don.

The Godfather is really similar to GTA. In both games, you can run down random people, steal cars, and evade the police. As you commit crimes your heat level goes up from 1-5 stars(similar to gta). Usually the cops are quite easy to get rid unless you have a 5 star wanted level.

Something not in GTA is the option to bribe police. In the game, you can bribe the police to fight alongside you which can be really helpful in tough situations. Another thing you can do is to rob banks. This is a lot of fun and is quite an easy way to get money if you know how to do it correctly. Taking over other family warehouses and compounds is also something unique to this game.

The story mode has many missions that are related to the story. Sometimes these missions can get difficult as you have to face many enemies. That’s why you’re going to have to use a lot of wall cover, crouching, and stealth in this game. You can also hire a backup soldier for a small fee to work for you. The backup soldier aids you in extorting businesses, shooting from cars, and giving you cover.

As you complete missions, extort businesses, and kill other family members, you earn reputation. Once you get enough reputation, you can level up which gives you access to different attributes(more health, bribes cost less, better combat skills).

The game has at least 20 hours of gameplay with all of the missions and side missions. This is a great game for fans and even people who haven’t seen the film. But, for those who have played the game before, there is no point in getting this, because it’s essentially the same as other Godfather games.

Earn Money Testing Computer Games!

Jul 31st, 2009 by admin

If you are a gamer who likes to sit on your console for hours on end, why not get paid to do that? And not only get paid, but be paid for testing BETA games (games that are yet to be released). All you will have to do is work 4 hours a day.

There are so many reasons why you should get into a program like this. First up, You simply get to play these games long before they are released. You will get to test all areas ie cheat codes, level secrets and all the glitches that only the testers are aware of. Not only that but you get to experience the huge industry of marketing, onto manufacturing, followed by the customer service and of course  the testing of each game.

Unfortunately (luckily for you because you have come to the right place) there are so many imitators’ out there, trying to scam you. So many of these scams are almost identical to this offer but instead of giving back for your subscription they will just take your money and run. The tough fact is it can take a long time to find employment in the gaming industry. This is why most memberships come with a 6+ month subscription; you will receive updates, resources and so much more for 6-24months.

If you do not want to waste your time and energy doing your own research, it is simple, you could just pay a certain fee and start getting results immediately. In this way, you will be supplied with the experience that others posses, meaning you will not have to go through all the disappointment that others have to. Certain websites that will offer you a guide/ebook they will show you the websites that real people have investigated to get jobs that will pay you for testing. They have been through all the scams already so they will tell what ones to stay clear from, this will save you lots of time

Ok, yes I hear the question why would someone pay you to play computer games? To answer this it is really quite simple. The gaming industry nowadays is huge. The total yearly revenue far surpasses $50billion. Various companies across the world create new games on a daily basis, and the fact is these games will be riddled with various bugs. If the bugs are not located and the game goes out for sale, the implications on that company could be massive. What you need to remember is that the programmers are not always gamers themselves therefore they may not see the things that we do when we play. For example the programmer may have an idea that he thinks will be awesome, but the truth is from a gamers perspective it could be a complete disaster, and this is why they need your opinions and feedback.

Now there are many benefits that come from this type of work, obviously there are a lot more for those that enjoy playing computer games. At school were you not always told to pursue something you enjoy doing, well BINGO!!!  The majority of testing jobs don’t require any post school education, so you don’t need to worry about having to have a degree in computer science. The only thing that is really needed is that you are 18 or over. The money available can be huge, obviously depending on the effort you apply and level of expertise you can earn in excess of $120p/h. The thing that i like most about this job is that you can work when you want, there is no set schedule that tells you, you must work 9-5 on any given day.
